LG launched its first gaming screen with a 1ms response time
With a super-fast response time of only 1ms and Nvidia G-Sync technology, two new LG gaming monitors promise to deliver the best gaming experience for users.
At the E3 2019 electronic entertainment fair, LG has introduced two new gaming screen models from the UltraGear product line, with the world's first GTG 1ms response time. Both devices use Nano IPS panels, supporting the DCI-P3 color range and come with many of the most advanced technologies available today.
LG's new UltraGear screen has two different size versions, including 27-inch and 38-inch models.
Known as UltraGear 27GL850, the 27-inch screen uses Nano IPS panel, super-fast 1ms response time, maximum brightness of 350 nits, 144Hz scan frequency, compatible with Nvidia G-Sync technology, FreeSync technology and support HDR10.
In addition to the features available on the 27-inch model, UltraGear 38GL950G also comes with some noticeable upgrades such as a larger 37.5-inch screen, VESA DisplayHDR 400 support and brightness of up to 450 nits. Although the default scanning frequency is 144Hz, this monitor can also overclock the scan frequency up to 175Hz. Besides, it also comes with the RGB LED Sphere Lighting 2.0 system on the back - something that the 27GL850 model doesn't have.
While both of LG's new display models have ultra-thin bezel edges on both the top and sides, UltraGear 38 inches uses a wide-angle curved screen with WQHD resolution (3840 x 1600 pixels). The 27-inch version comes with a flat screen and supports the maximum QHD level (2560 x 1440 pixels).
LG has also uploaded a video on YouTube on June 10, which demonstrates the performance of the UltraGear screen, including the introduction of its outstanding features and emphasis on 1ms GTG response time.
Currently, LG has not announced a specific price for the two new UltraGear models, but they have all been posted on the company's official website. The 27-inch model is expected to be pre-ordered in the US on July 1.
